Wisteria climbs the pale walls and the blue shutters are thrown open as your guests arrive on the lawn: Manoir du Plessis is a 4-hectare estate in Le Rheu, just minutes from Rennes, where the whole wedding, from the first toast to the last dance, happens in one place.
Say your vows in the estate’s chapel or at an outdoor ceremony among the trees, then gather for cocktails on the lawns in front of the manor. Dinner is served in a 200 m² reception tent for up to 150 seated guests, and when the music starts, the party moves next door to a room dedicated to dancing. Inside the manor, characterful lounges, a sweeping staircase and quiet corners offer space to get ready and to slip away for photos.
The owners also run Mangabey, an events company that has handled entertainment and technical production for weddings for many years. That experience on the ground shaped the estate, so it works smoothly for both couples and their suppliers.
Up to 40 guests can stay on site, in six bedrooms in the manor plus extra beds, and in a separate 19-bed dormitory annex, so the celebration can carry on into a relaxed Sunday together.
