Château du Jonquier sits on five hectares of private parkland and forest at the foot of Mont Ventoux, just beside the medieval market town of Mazan. This beautifully restored baroque estate carries all the charm of Provence, surrounded by rolling vineyards - and for a truly memorable entrance, guests can even arrive by helicopter. The grounds themselves feel like a world apart - ancient oaks, cypresses and towering plane trees line the paths down toward the River Auzon, setting the stage for a celebration across several days. Festivities might begin on the Friday evening with a relaxed yet invigorating Welcome evening. On the wedding day itself, couples can exchange vows in the château's own consecrated chapel, Chapelle de St. Andiol, which holds up to 30 guests, or choose a larger church or synagogue in town. Other spaces for the ceremony include the two large sunny and verdant lawns as well as the romantic pavilion on the wedding island. From there, cocktails unfold across lavender-scented terraces and flower-filled gardens, and along the canal. Dinner can be served beneath the plane trees on the 500m² Southern Terrace under fairy lights, and the evening winds down with dancing in the Salle de Réception. The morning after, a relaxed brunch by the pool brings the celebration to a superb close.
Recent renovations have carefully paired the château's long history with modern comfort. Seven air-conditioned bedrooms sleep up to fourteen guests on-site, with a plethora further accommodation available nearby in town. The Owners vision allows for an intimate gathering or a large, multi-day celebration. The estate also runs on 100% solar energy, with sustainability and waste management a core part of how it's run.
