About this venue

Church bells are not needed here: the chapel bell at Château de Sentout calls your guests across a courtyard of old stone houses, high above the Garonne valley and just outside Bordeaux. Set in 15 hectares of meadows and woodland, the estate feels like a small medieval village that is yours for the whole weekend.

There are many ways to shape the day. Say your vows in the château’s chapel or beneath the arches of the rose garden cloister, then gather for drinks in the covered courtyard or out on the lawns among tall Douglas firs and cedars. For dinner and dancing, choose between two reception rooms, the larger one air-conditioned and seating up to 100, or a stretch tent for 120 guests in the park. Tables and chairs are provided, and there is no mandatory caterer, so you can bring your own team or pick from the owners’ trusted list of caterers, florists and photographers.

Up to 50 guests can stay on site in 24 bedrooms, all with their own bathroom, spread across seven houses around the main courtyard. Each house has a living room and a private garden with a barbecue, and the bridal suite sits in the square tower overlooking the courtyard. A heated pool, parking for 60 cars and a kitchen reserved for caterers complete the estate.

Ideal for couples who want a relaxed, self-catered wedding weekend near Bordeaux, with family and friends staying together under the same roofs.
